7/7/2023 0 Comments Best flick rush teamI agree that the combat is very lackluster and results in spamming Flowmotion attacks.(tl dr I more or less agree with the stuff you (the OP) have said, and I add my own commentary and thoughts) I would've preferred it to be scripted instead of being on a timer, because right now it makes me feel that this idea was born out of a sadistic vein in Nomura's madness.Īll of this makes me incapable of appreciate the time I spend playing the game, which makes me very sad because I am interested in the story and also for the first time in the series I feel like the secondary characters are not dumb monodimensional braindamaged dudes, but actual sorta-clever people instead. Drop system: I know that you have various options to avoid dropping, but still, this system feels like it's there just to annoy you. I find this minigame to be super annoying and boring! Also the fact that you cannot customize decks doesn't help. Coliseum card minigame: I don't know if I'm doing it wrong (expecially because I win), but to me it's a spammy system very similar to CoM. I don't know how to deal with it, because while I like to min maxing characters in games, I feel like everything that involves the spirits is a chore. Pet system: I think that forcing the player to mess with the pet system in order to get abilities and commands is a bold move. This also makes me avoid using commands, at least in the beginning. This results in abusing flowmotion to both have more breathing room (by staying in the air and moving around) and spamming flow moves for low risk high reward AoE moves, trivializing the game in the process. Combat: even if your character base moveset feels identical to previous iterations of the series, enemy dreameaters and bosses seem to have bad movesets, with bad warning signs that tell when they're going to attack and attacks hitboxes too big (those damn bats can create a mess when in large numbers.). Here's the mechanics that annoy me more about this game, and I'd like to comment those with you guys in order to expose what I am eventually doing wrong that makes me not appreciate this game (please note that I have only completed the first world on proud yet): Saying this makes me very sad, because while I found some mechanics very amusing (the mobility part of flowmotion and the command system), the game as a whole irritates me.
